Why attacking the press never works  |  Ref's Comment: If it didn't work, Republicans would not have dominated politics for the last fourteen years.  The attacks minimized the influence of left-wing media, and continue to do so.  Obama won because of a perfect economic storm and the burden that comes with governing in hard times that weighed down Republicans chances, not because of the media. Admittedly he could not have won without the media, but the media was not the primary force behind his victory.  Everyone loses in a democracy from time to time.  Roger Simon hopes he can persuade the persuadable Republicans to stop calling out the press for its brazen bias during a time when they are down.
